Basic Clean vs Deep Clean

Dream Clean - Basic Clean vs Deep Clean

Spring Clean - Clean House

Once you’ve decided to book your spring cleaning with us the biggest thing that you need to consider is what package you want to go for. To make it easy we’ve broken them up individually on our website, as seen here:

There are a lot of different cleaning companies in the valley and they all work a bit differently, and so in case you didn’t know Dream Clean is centered around these cleaning packages. There are a variety of reasons for this but one of the nice things about it is that you know what you are getting, and because the crew is trained to clean the items that are included in each package it helps to ensure a consistent clean every time! We’ve got our checklist online and you can review it at the link below (we’ll also be covering them in this blog post).

What Package Is Right For Me?

Ultimately this will depend on each person. The trick is getting what you want/need done with the cost fitting within your budget. This is easy to do with us because we allow for a little bit of customization [with the Extra options we have] to help people meet their cleaning needs without breaking the bank.

We’d suggest that in order to help narrow down which package you’d like, to first take a look around your home and see what you’d ideally like done. Then once you know that we can take a look at our checklists to compare, here’s a screenshot of what it looks like:

As you can see our checklists are pretty detailed and while it’s easier to compare side-by-side this is still a lot of information to process. To make the decision easier it’s best just to ask yourself if you need the “big ticket items” on the Deep Clean or not.

There’s a substantial difference in cost between the two packages and so that’s why we want to figure out what’s most important to you in relation to the cost. So ask yourself do these items really need cleaning, which are: doors, frames, light fixtures, ceiling fans, walls spot checked, outside of cabinets and baseboards? There are a lot more items that are cleaned than this but these are the standouts from the Basic Cleaning.

If you answered Yes to most of those items then you are probably going to want the Deep Clean, and if you said No then you’ll probably want the Basic Cleaning package. Now what happens if you want only some of those “big ticket items” but don’t need the rest? This is where we stand out because we’ve just recently added the ability to pull two of the most desired items off the Deep Cleaning package to be added, as an extra, to the Basic Clean!

On our booking form, if you are doing this online, you’ll see Step 4: Select Extras, which allows you to pick addons from the grid, as seen here:

The nice thing about this is that if your doors, frames, light fixtures and ceiling fans don’t really need cleaning and you don’t want to pay the cost of a Deep Clean you can add baseboards, which are really popular and/or outside cabinets. Generally speaking, these are the two most desired items off the Deep Clean. We understand that everyone’s needs and budgets are different which is why we’ve added this awesome feature!

You’ll notice that the Extras list changes when you select the Deep Clean, as seen here:

This is because those other items are included in the package already. Another easy way to think about the differences between the two packages is that with a Deep Clean we’re basically cleaning everything in the home less the ceilings and only spot checking the walls. So, there’s a lot of work that goes into those cleanings.

Depending on the details of the house and the overall condition dropping down to a Basic and adding those two extras can save you hundreds versus paying for the Deep Clean and getting items done that don’t necessarily need it.

Why Get A Deep Clean?

We generally recommend getting a Deep Clean done either quarterly or about every six months depending on how well maintained the home is. Dust likes to accumulate pretty much anywhere and everywhere, and some of the time we don’t even notice. It’s easy to spot it on furniture and on the baseboards, but most homes have these multi-grooved trims which are even on our doors, as seen here:

These look fantastic and add a beautiful aesthetic to our homes but dust really likes to collect in those grooves, which you don’t really notice unless you’re looking for it. In the earlier part of the blog we were talking about that refreshing feeling and so it’s good to clean all of the high touch points in a home, which are: doors, frames, walls and light switches.

We’ve all been spending more time at home and it’s been easy to let the regular maintenance get away from us. It’s been especially hard with our sanctuary away from work now turning into our office, for a lot of people, and that makes it really difficult to find the desire to clean your “office,” but we’re more than happy to get it back in tip top shape for you no matter which package you go with. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call the office and our staff can answer any questions you might have.

Enjoy your summer and stay safe!
